Hello, Internet. My name is R.B. Boyer, and I am a Software Engineer performing magic in the Austin area. In the recent past I tried-on a masters degree hat as a computer science graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin after discarding a phd hat in their physics program. I have a proof-of-purchase from the Rochester Institute of Technology that says I have a BS in physics.
Geek attributes (in no particular order):
I use Linux. I have 5 computers in my single-room apartment. I have too many books. Python is pretty awesome. Organizing information is very soothing to me which I think is a symptom of data OCD. I have a fascination with penguins because they are smile-inducing.
I have a wishlist, a library, and a list of favorite tv shows.
What is this site?
My commentary on reality. It’s not a particularly good commentary, but at least I’m trying. Don’t expect me to update this on any kind of schedule. I make most of my Internet contributions elsewhere, but I try to link to those places where I can.
