Low Frequency

I’m not a typical blogger.

Back when I stumbled upon the blogging meme over the summer, I wasn’t sure what I was going to write about. I’m not the kind of person to turn this into a LiveJournal replica, nor do I feel like commenting on entries from around the blogosphere.

Since starting this blog, I’ve come to the conclusion that I cannot post in a frequent or even regular manner. It tends to take me a considerable amount of time to discover what I think about the events that occur offline. This makes event-based posting more difficult, since temporal proximity to the subject affects the relevance of the entry.

Sporadic is best, I think.

  1. I think the better blogs are the ones that don’t post as often and post sporadically. Not posting daily gives more insight and meaning to each post rather an empty, usual, daily slice of life that most people tend to do on their own blogs. It’s a nice form of independence.

  2. Less is more, lightly put.
