Holiday musings
I am one who enjoys the Christmas season. I celebrate the capitalistic, kindness-driven, warm, santa-and-his-elves version of the holiday. For me, Christmas/New Year’s is about:
- being festive
- wearing a Santa hat around campus
- decorating with friends
- thinking about gifts that will match the person to whom they’re intended
- reflecting on the content of days that have passed by this year
- enjoying a good slice of pie
- staring at the beauty of the snow as it falls and smooths out the ground’s surface
- inhaling the scent of wintry air
- watching It’s a Wonderful Life and White Christmas, and quoting passages from them like the sick fanboy that I am
This is my favorite time of the year.
